Our licensed Behavioral Health team consists of professional counselors, clinical social workers and addictions counselors who work with patients to enhance their social, emotional and behavioral health.
In addition to working with patients on their care, counselors work closely with medical providers in a team approach that emphasizes the importance of treating the whole person. Our aim is to empower patients to make healthy life choices and learn skills to cope with medical conditions and life challenges. All our therapists are trained in evidence-based treatment modalities including specialized training for addressing trauma, severe emotional dysregulation, sleep issues, and several other common psychosocial disorders.
All Behavioral Health services provided through the Care Clinic are confidential. Behavioral Health services might be short term, solution-focused services for brief needs, or may require longer-term engagement for more severe and long-standing issues. Questions about treatment and duration can be addressed to your provider at the time of service.

Currently not available due to COVID-19.Our open access behavioral health services are available every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00-5:00 at 360 Peak One Drive, Suite 100, Frisco, CO 80443.
These services are available on a walk-in basis for patients in need of non-emergency behavioral healthcare. You do not need to be an existing patient at the clinic to utilize these services.
Patients are seen on a first come, first serve basis. We will make every attempt to have you seen by a behavioral health provider as soon as possible, but please know that there may be some wait time involved.
We have behavioral health clinicians available who will complete an assessment with you and talk with you about our services, available programs, and provide you with referrals if needed.
Together, we will develop an individualized care plan designed to improve your well-being.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment for individuals with significant difficulty regulating their emotions and behaviors.
DBT skills teach adolescents and families to: regulate their emotions and behaviors; reduce problem behaviors and increase skillful behaviors; experience a range of emotions without necessarily acting on those emotions; improve relationships with family, school, and peers.
The overarching goal of DBT is to help people create a life worth living. The program requires commitment from the student and their family for a minimum of 8 weeks. Adolescents will work with their families and a therapeutic team to acquire skills and reduce life-threatening behaviors.
Program components include: individual therapy; phone coaching with an individual therapist; multi-family skills group; psychiatric consultation and management; academic support.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach to treating opioid addiction with a combination of medication and psychosocial support services such as counseling. Respected scientific sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), all recommend medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction.
Our MAT program takes a holistic approach to treating the patient. We use medication to manage physical withdrawal and to reduce cravings, and counseling and other recovery support services to address the psychological symptoms of addiction.
