Helen joined the Care Clinic in 2006 as a Grant Coordinator and she implemented the Integrated Care program. She subsequently served as the Behavioral Health Director, Quality Assurance Director and Chief Operating Officer before becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2016. Helen has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of California and a master’s degree in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She has lived in Summit County since 1988.
Erin joined the Care Clinic as the Dental Coordinator when the Care Clinic first implemented dental services in 2007. She subsequently spent 10 years as the School Based Health Director before returning to the Dental Department as the Chief Dental Officer in 2018. In her 35+ years in Summit County, Erin has served in various leadership positions including on the boards of Summit School District, Early Childhood Options, and the Colorado Association of School Based Health Centers. Erin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Iowa. She loves all that Summit County has to offer for recreation and spends her weekends skiing at Arapahoe Basin.
Dr. Kathleen Cowie is a family physician with a special interest in women and children’s health. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for providing compassionate medical care at home and abroad, having volunteered on outreach trips in Honduras, Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Dr. Cowie graduated from Loyola Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2006 but fell in love with the Colorado Rockies while completing her family medicine residency at St. Anthony Central/North Hospitals in Denver. Prior to joining the Care Clinic in 2012, she provided full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics and newborn care at Salud Family Health Centers in Commerce City and Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton. Dr. Cowie became Chief Medical Officer in 2017. In her free time, she loves doing all things outdoors and spending time with her family.
Prior to joining the Care Clinic, Dave held senior financial positions in Diebold, Inc., Bethany Home Health and most recently at CaptureRx in San Antonio. Dave brings a background of both financial and operational leadership with the past eight years focused on patient self service and home health solutions. While serving as CFO of CaptureRx, Dave supported over 300 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across the country. During this time Dave was introduced to the mission of FQHC’s which is what lead him to join SCCC. Dave has a B.S. in Accounting and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems. In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors and caring for his three basset hound dogs (Bo, Shorty and Bentley).
Cassandra Anton has been with the Care Clinic since 2015 with experience as a quality professional in multiple industries. Cassandra holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She is a Colorado native who loves hiking, camping, skiing, and exploring the Colorado backcountry.
Patricia Price joined SCCC after working at Vail Summit Orthopaedics as their HR and IT Director for more than 12 years. Before that, she was a Team Manager for the United States Ski Team. Patty graduated with dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Economics and Information Systems from SUNY at Oneonta. Patty has been part of this community for 18 years and is an avid skier. When not at the clinic she can be found with her husband, two young girls, and dogs skiing, cross-country skiing, and enjoying the beautiful mountains of Summit County, Colorado.

Susan was first involved with the Care Clinic as a volunteer interpreter in the 1990s and rejoined the clinic as a staff member in 2016.
Susan earned her Master of Public Health Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has dedicated her career to non-profit management and development, working with multiple organizations in Summit County and statewide to support health promotion programs. She is a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Central African Republic), has a close connection to Senegal, and dreams of her next trip to Africa.
Eleanor Bruin joined the SCCC in 2020 after working as an Integrated Behavioral Health Provider with High Country Healthcare in Frisco, CO. Eleanor has worked as a behavioral health provider in an integrated medical setting for more than 10 years with previous work experience at the University of Colorado Cancer Center, Sky Ridge Medical Center and Swedish Hospital. She has held previous leadership positions with the Association of Oncology Social Workers and has supported facilitation of national conferences. Eleanor graduated with her masters in Social Work from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. Eleanor is a Colorado native and when she is not at the SCCC she is busy spending time with her husband and her three young children enjoying the outdoors.
Jenna joined the Care Clinic in 2018 after prior work in nutrition education and care management. She has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science form the University of Montana and a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Colorado State University. Jenna is passionate about continuing the success of the School-Based Health Centers and working with the talented Care Clinic team. She loves all the great outdoor activities Summit County has to offer including running, skiing and camping.
Misty joined the Care Clinic in 2020 after prior work managing dermatology clinics across Western Colorado. She also has experience in home health and hospice care with a collective 20 years experience in healthcare. Misty holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Services/ Healthcare Management from Missouri State University and has been licensed in Practical Nursing since February 2000. She is passionate about serving the Colorado mountain communities and creating avenues for patients to access healthcare. In her free time, Misty loves spending time with her husband, 3 human children and 3 fur babies. She enjoys all that living in Colorado has to offer and won’t turn down a chance to travel. If you do not find her out exploring or working on a home project, you can usually find her in her hammock with a good book.
Megan joined the Care Clinic in 2015 as a Dental Hygienist and she helped to implement the SMILES and COMDI programs in the School Based Health Centers. Megan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado and an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Pueblo Community College. She is a Colorado native.
Liz joined the Care Clinic in 2020. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Liz pursued her career in nonprofit management and has worked in programming and development for arts, cultural, and educational organizations in Winter Park, Boulder and Vail, Colorado. A third generation native of our bicentennial state, she has lived more than half her life on the Western Slope and spends her free time exploring the surrounding mountains on skis, bikes and in a great pair of hiking boots. Her two children are nearly grown and turning into productive members of society.
Amy Perchick joined the Care Clinic in 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA in Health Administration from Temple University. Amy has worked in healthcare administration for over 20 years and still works some weekends as an Occupational Therapist. Amy has lived in Summit County since 2004 and enjoys time with her daughter, the outdoors in all seasons, knitting, cooking, and a good book.
Nicole joined the Care Clinic in 2020 after working as a Public Health Educator at a local health department in Michigan. She has a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. Nicole is passionate about helping others lead healthy lives and pursues this passion both personally and professionally. When she’s not at work, Nicole likes to spend time outside, engage in physical activity, see live music, check out art exhibits/installations, and volunteer in her community.
Maria joined the Care Clinic in 2017 after prior work with a nonprofit that helped injured military men and women thru adaptive sports, where the beginning of Warrior Games and Invictus Games was implemented. She was the first Dental Health Navigator here at SCCC. She has a bachelor’s degree of science in Kinesiology with the emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University of San Bernardino and an associates degree from Riverside Community College in Humanities and Performing Arts. Maria is also a professional Peruvian Dancer who still competes internationally. Outside the Care Clinic, she is also a mountain bike coach for The Cycle Effect.
Araceli joined the Care Clinic in 2007 as a dental assistant. With almost twenty years in the dentistry field, her passion for taking care of patients has been her main focus. She enjoys taking care of people of all ages and loves seeing patients walking out with a smile on their faces after a great dental experience. As the lead dental assistant, she takes great pride in training the staff to be great dental assistants. Before Araceli’s career in the dentistry field she was a professional pastry chef making high end desserts and wedding cakes. When Araceli isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family going on hikes with the dog, camping, cooking, and watching movies.
