Amanda joined Elevated Community Health in 2024 and brings years of FQHC financial experience to ECH. She began her accounting career in 2007 working in tax preparation. In 2008, she joined her local FQHC and has worked in FQHC finance for over 16 years. She obtained her master’s degree in accounting in 2011 to further continue her education and to one day study and test for the CPA exam. During the COVID restrictions she decided to pursue the CPA license. She obtained her CPA license in 2022. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children in their extracurricular events, primarily baseball, softball, orchestra and drama productions.

Dr. Kathleen Cowie, MD

Dr. Kathleen Cowie is a family physician with a special interest in women and children’s health. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for providing compassionate medical care at home and abroad, having volunteered on outreach trips in Honduras, Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Dr. Cowie graduated from Loyola Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2006 but fell in love with the Colorado Rockies while completing her family medicine residency at St. Anthony Central/North Hospitals in Denver. Prior to joining Elevated Community Health in 2012, she provided full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics and newborn care at Salud Family Health Centers in Commerce City and Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton. Dr. Cowie became Chief Medical Officer in 2017. In her free time, she loves doing all things outdoors and spending time with her family.

Hannah joined Elevated Community Health in 2023, bringing with her eight years of experience in the FQHC and Quality Improvement realms. An Anthropologist by training, Hannah is passionate about designing programs that support vulnerable populations and provide the most safe, effective care possible for patients. In her free time, Hannah serves in leadership in search and rescue organizations and enjoys playing outside with her family all year long.

Karen started her career in 2012 as a Medical Assistant. Her experience working directly with patients gave her a deep understanding of what works and what doesn't work on the clinical floor and how leadership interaction affects all patient-facing staff members and patient outcomes. Karen's role as Clinical Manager has given her the opportunity to support all clinical staff members and to give the best quality of care to patients.

Karen's motto is that to take care of people, we need to take care of ourselves, and the way she does this is by exploring the beautiful outdoors in her free time.

Megan joined Elevated Community Health in 2015 as a Dental Hygienist and she helped to implement the SMILES and COMDI programs in the School Based Health Centers. Megan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado and an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Pueblo Community College. She is a Colorado native.

Lisa Brockmeier, MSW, LCSW

Lisa, a Colorado native, joined the team in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science, a Master of Social Work, and a certification in Interpersonal Trauma Studies from the University of Denver. Over the past decade, Lisa has held various management roles across the healthcare continuum, including skilled nursing facilities, integrated community mental health, state contracts, and youth residential facilities. She aims to be a trusted partner in the community with both internal and external stakeholders. Her goal is to build a high-efficiency behavioral health team that delivers high-quality care to the communities they serve.

Amanda joined Elevated Community Health in 2019 as a Dental Patient Access Representative. Before becoming the Dental Clinic Manager in 2021, she had worked as the School Based Health Dental Coordinator and Dental Schedule and Referral Coordinator. Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sustainability Studies from Colorado Mountain College. She is a fifth generation Colorado native and when not at the clinic she is busy spending time with family, caring for her chickens, gardening, fishing, camping, foraging, and baking.

Marisa Soltis, LPC, LAC

Marisa received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado and her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Adam’s State University. Marisa has worked in the field of counseling for nine years and has primarily worked with adolescents and adult populations. She uses several evidence-based modalities and is trained in EMDR, MI, DBT, SFBT, and TF-CBT. Marisa is a Licensed Addictions Counselor and oversees the supervision of LACs in training. Marisa has experience treating individuals with trauma related disorders such as PTSD and Acute Stress Disorders. She has worked with individuals with BPD and has helped in running a comprehensive DBT program to treat adolescents with a BPD diagnosis. She also has experience in treating depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, bi-polar disorders, personality disorders, thought disorders, and ADHD.

Marisa believes that the health the wellness of the community members is her first priority. She is dedicated to working for non-profit organizations in hopes that she can help the most people in our mountain populations. Marisa is a 25-year-Summit County local and enjoys snowboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, paddleboarding, reading, and hanging with her dogs.
