High-Quality Dental Care

Dental is open for limited restorative and preventive dental visits. Preventive appointments will include x- rays if needed, an exam with a dentist and non-aerosol producing dental cleanings. As always, SCCC will file your insurance. COVID-19 has resulted in considerable changes to the processes of dentistry. As we navigate this fluid and changing new reality, we are adapting to maintain safe treatment environments for our patients.

For more information on COVID-19 visit the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment website, Summit County Government website, and 211Colorado.org.

Our experienced dental team provides an array of high-quality services and comprehensive dental care to our patients. Services are provided by skilled hygienists, dentists, and specialists.  Before receiving any specific procedures, our patients undergo an initial appointment, which consists of x-rays, exams, and development of a treatment plan.

We work to maximize the benefits of all insurances for our patients. This includes Medicaid, CHP+ and Private Insurance plans.  Uninsured patients may be eligible for a Sliding Fee Services.

Specialty Care

A variety of periodontal and oral surgery procedures are provided by our on-staff specialists.  These procedures are appointed upon referral by our dental team.

Preventative Care

Preventative care starts with easy-to-understand education of dental health, which includes expectations of a daily oral care routine. In addition to oral care education, our staff hygienists and dentists will engage the patient to create a timeline of regular checkups and cleanings that will improve long-lasting dental health. This coordination of care helps to reduce the risks of gum disease, sensitivity, cavities, and other conditions.  Our hygienists provide customized care, including regular and deep cleanings and fluoride treatments.

School-Based Dental Services

We are pleased to provide preventative and diagnostic dental services in each of our School Based Health Centers (LINK) which includes cleanings, X-rays, screenings/Teledental exams, fluoride and sealants.  Dental screenings and fluoride programs are offered in every school in the Summit, Lake and Park RE-2 School Districts that don’t have School Based Health Centers.

Limited restorative (fillings and extractions) services are available at Lake County High School that are appointed upon referral of the hygienist and dentist.

Medical Dental Integration

At the Care Clinic, we know that overall health and dental health are related. As a result, our dental services are fully integrated into primary care.  Medical and dental appointments can be scheduled consecutively to facilitate ease of service, and medical providers can refer our patients for needed dental services via our friendly and gentle hygienists located conveniently in the medical clinic.
